Let the device dry overnight with no batteries in it so that air circulates inside the aid and you avoid battery damage.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"wind\">Wind<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>While many newer hearing aids come with noise-canceling features, intense wind can still create irritating sounds for some people with hearing aids. Talk to your audiologist about what might work best or try using a hearing sleeve when it\u2019s windy outside.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"hats-and-hoods\">Hats and Hoods<\/h3>\n\n\n<p>Wearing hats or hoods can cause feedback, a high-pitched whistling noise, which can be unpleasant and interfere with your hearing.
